My 10 foot Boa Alice is shedding for the 2nd time in 3 weeks. Anyone have any idea why this would happen?
In 35 years of keeping snakes this has never happened. She shed on the 16th of August. ( no problems..it all came off nice as usual) I fed her a pretty big rat on the 23rd. And now its the 30th and shes full on in another shed...She did get bitten by the rat when she killed it.( all you "you should feed her fresh killed or thawed" people, step away...she wont eat anything dead..never has in ten years). Usually ill feed her a really fat guinea pig and even then it takes her 6 weeks to shed. My dear friend Nicki in Scotland thought maybe the bite caused her to go into another shed. She is wise in the way of reptiles and told me this could be true..Any other long time keepers have an opinion?
