How would you solve these worded quadratic equations either factorising or using the quadratic formula?

Darn. I'd first find a dictionary, then I would find myself a math book to explain it to me. Damn, you already have those. Why don't you use the preciously learned skill to read and find it out yourself in stead of horsing around on the internet?
